Overview

Our mission is to encourage and help the area youth to develop Spirit, Mind, and Body through involvement in track & field and cross country running.  All participants will be part of a team that encourages and promotes hard work and sportsmanship.  All participants will build a positive self-image as they set goals and train/work to achieve them.

The SPIRIT Track Club is a non-profit youth organization based out of the Ed Isakson Alpharetta Family YMCA in Alpharetta, Georgia, and is sanctioned by USA Track & Field (USATF), the national governing body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States.  Our USATF club name is SPIRIT Alpharetta YMCA, club #45-0608.

We provide track & field and cross country coaching to boys and girls ages 7 - 18 in the north Fulton County cities of Alpharetta, Canton, Cumming, Johns Creek, Milton and Roswell.  See our frequently asked questions page for more details about the youth age divisions.  The age divisions are based on year of birth; in other words, the age level they will compete in is based on the age the athlete will be on December 31.

Track & Field is a spring/summer sport, with youth practices beginning in March.  Cross country is a fall/winter sport, with youth practices beginning in September.
